New Routes to Shenzhen, Da Nang, and Siem Reap
Emirates, a global aviation leader, is set to significantly expand its footprint in Asia, offering travelers enhanced connectivity and unparalleled travel experiences.
Starting July 1, 2025, the airline will launch daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen. The city is a major technological hub in China.
Following that, Emirates will introduce four weekly services to Da Nang, Vietnam, from June 2. Three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia, will commence from June 3. Both of these services will connect via Bangkok.
This strategic expansion positions Emirates as the non-Asian airline with the most extensive and diverse network in East Asia. The carrier boasts 269 weekly flights from Dubai to 24 destinations.
The new routes mark Emirates’ fourth gateway into mainland China. It also adds its third destination in Vietnam, and its second arrival point in Cambodia.
Shenzhen: A New China Connection
Emirates’ entry into Shenzhen signifies a significant milestone. It establishes the first daily flight by a Middle Eastern carrier to this dynamic city. As a technology and innovation powerhouse, Shenzhen presents immense opportunities for business and economic exchange.
The airline’s long-standing commitment to China, dating back to 2002 with the launch of Dubai-Shanghai services. The continued service underscores its dedication to fostering strong bilateral ties.
The Shenzhen flight schedule is designed to optimize connections to key destinations across Africa, the Middle East/GCC, Europe, and the Americas. Travelers from Kenya, Egypt, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Italy, Spain, the US, and South America can now enjoy seamless travel via Dubai.
Furthermore, Shenzhen will be the first Chinese destination served by Emirates’ retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER. This offers passengers the latest Business Class seats and the acclaimed Premium Economy experience.
This four-class aircraft features eight First Class suites, and 40 Business Class lie-flat seats. It is completed by 24 Premium Economy seats, and 260 spacious Economy Class seats.

Cargo Operations
Emirates’ cargo operations will also play a crucial role in strengthening trade between China and the world. 2,000 tonnes of cargo are transported weekly from mainland China. The addition of Shenzhen will facilitate the movement of high-tech products and e-commerce items.
Emirates SkyCargo anticipates uplifting 10 tonnes of cargo per flight, supporting the city’s role as a key manufacturing and export hub.
Expanding Services in Vietnam and Cambodia
Da Nang, Vietnam
Emirates’ expansion into Da Nang and Siem Reap further solidifies its commitment to Southeast Asia. The four weekly services to Da Nang, operating via Bangkok, mark the airline’s third gateway into Vietnam. This follows Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These flights, operated by the Boeing 777, will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The strategic timing of these flights ensures convenient connections to major European cities. These include London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Rome, as well as key US destinations.
This enhanced connectivity aims to boost bilateral trade and commercial collaboration between the UAE and Vietnam, especially following the recent Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Siem Reap, Cambodia
Similarly, the three weekly services to Siem Reap, operating via Bangkok on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, provide travelers with seamless access to this iconic destination.
Siem Reap, home to the magnificent Angkor Wat, is a major tourist attraction. Emirates’ new service is timed to offer optimal connections for leisure travelers from France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia.
Conclusion
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing unparalleled access to Southeast Asia and the broader East Asia region. He highlighted the strategic importance of the new routes in fostering business, economic exchange, and cultural bonds.
The expansion into Da Nang and Siem Reap underscores Emirates’ dedication to connecting travelers to both emerging economic hubs and iconic tourist destinations.
By offering a diverse network and a superior onboard experience, Emirates aims to solidify its position as a leading global airline.
Emirates’ strategic expansion into Shenzhen, Da Nang, and Siem Reap represents a significant step in enhancing connectivity and promoting economic and cultural exchange between Asia and the world.
